Final Steps

Send us the remains, the Authorization form and payment and we will do the rest. You may pay by check or credit card. To pay by credit card please call us before sending anything so we can bill you through Google Checkout. There are several ways to get the cremated remains to us for aerial scattering.

Option One - In the Kansas City area:

  1. Your mortuary or funeral home can transport the remains and paperwork to us. Have them call 913-221-9109 to make arrangements.
  2. Or, you can call us at 913-221-9109 to arrange transport of your loved ones remains.
  3. Have an envelope with (1) the completed Authorization Form, (2) a copy of the death certificate and (3) our fee, payable to "Alpha Omega Air", accompany the ashes.

Option Two - To mail us the ashes:

  1. Place in an envelope: (1) the completed Authorization Form, (2) a copy of the death certificate, and (3) the appropriate fee in U.S. Dollars, payable to "Alpha Omega Air". Seal the envelope and note on the address side the name of the deceased.
  2. Make arrangements with your mortuary or funeral home to ship the remains with the paperwork to us, or follow the next few steps to do it yourself.
  3. Pack the crematorium's sealed container or your sealed, sift proof container in a strong shipping box. Pad the inside of the shipping box to prevent damage or punctures to the contents. Place the envelope inside the shipping box and seal all seams of the shipping box. Mark the package "Cremated Remains."
  4. Mail via U.S. Postal Service Certified/Priority Mail with return receipt requested to:

Option Three - We pickup the ashes at an airport near you:

  1. For a pre-arranged fee we will pick up the remains from an airport you designate. Call us at 913-221-9109 to work out the details.
  2. Have an envelope with (1) the completed Authorization Form, (2) a copy of the death certificate and (3) our fee, payable to "Alpha Omega Air", accompany the ashes.
  3. We will meet you or your agent at the airport to receive the ashes and paperwork.

After we have received everything we will schedule the release based on your wishes as detailed in the Authorization form or as soon as practical.

Soon after the scattering flight is finished we will send via Priority Mail a commemerative certificate noting the date, time, and latitude/longitude of release signed by the pilot and the witness.
